São Paulo’s alternative rock duo Science Toys return with PIXELS, a high-energy single that
celebrates unity, defiance, and the unbreakable bonds forged on society’s fringes.
Set for release on August 22, the track blends driving synth and guitar riffs and lyrics that speak
directly to those who’ve ever felt outcast — the “eternal misfits.”
From its opening line — “Cut me into a million pixels and back it up for me” — ‘PIXELS’ creates a
vivid metaphor for identity and permanence in the digital age. It’s a rallying cry for
self-expression and solidarity, inspired by the enduring connection between kindred spirits who
refuse to conform. “We wanted this song to feel like an adrenaline shot for anyone who’s ever
been told they don’t belong,” says Rocka. “It’s about dancing through the night, standing tall, and
turning our so-called flaws into our greatest strengths.”
